Special Meeting Set to Discuss Capital Outlay, Colonias Funding

On July 13, the normal quarterly meeting was cancelled due to the pandemic and the lack of pressing matters. Shortly afterward, word came about two funding requests. A special Zoom meeting has been scheduled for 6 p.m. next Wednesday (Aug. 5) to discuss passing a resolution to accept Capital Outlay funding. In a letter dated July 21, the association was notified that Colonias Infrastructure funds applied for are also available. Because of the pandemic, whether we would actually receive these funds had become uncertain. Capital Outlay funds are now assured and the Colonias funds are also fairly likely to materialize. President Wade Cornelius will organize the Zoom meeting and will have the code and password required to get in. Members will receive an agenda in their mailboxes prior to the meeting, probably a couple of days prior. The Zoom meeting details will come later. This serves as the required three- (plus) day notice for a special meeting. This notice is also posted on our Facebook page for those who are users.
